Check out this article in the Orange County Register. According to the article, the Laguna Beach USD School Board made the decision that there would be no mandatory COVID-19 testing for students in the Laguna Beach schools. This is the result of a lengthy discussion. The board considered mandatory testing with parent consent versus maintaining the current status or keeping test kits available for those that seek testing.

Although several other Orange County school districts have made the decision to require mandatory testing, LBUSB will not. The Board held a special meeting Friday, September 9, 2021. And, at that time several board members requested more information on what mandatory testing would look like. Ultimately, they agreed against the required testing.
