Simply Fantastic

Marcella is simply fantastic. Without her, we would not have been able to find the perfect rental home in Laguna Beach while living in Chicago. After asking for more information on one of her properties online she responded within 5 minutes. Over the next 4 weeks, we communicated nearly daily and she answered all of our questions. We visited Laguna for 48 hours over a weekend and were able to look at all the properties we were interested in as well as get a lease signed on the perfect house. I referred Marcella to one of my best friends and co-worker who was looking to buy a house in Costa Mesa. She had worked with a couple of other realtors prior to Marcella and was very impressed with how quickly Marcella called her, completely researched the area she was interested in, and lined up several places for her to see. Marcella picked up my girlfriend and I took us to every place of interest, and within 6 hours found exactly what my girlfriend wanted in a completely new development. When we decided to sell our house, a friend of ours who has bought and sold many homes raved about Marcella. We reached out to Marcella and she made herself available immediately, She met my husband and me the following day with a list of comps and other valuable market research.  We knew there were many other clients Marcella was working with (her signs were all over town), but her response time and availability were so impressive, that my husband and I felt like we were her most important clients. Not once did Marcella pawn us off on an assistant.  Our house, being an “antique”, was in need of some repairs/updates. Marcella has a large team of talented and affordable Interior designers, contractors, stagers, painters, and landscapers at her disposal, which allowed us to get the house ready to sell quickly and for the best price.  We were also impressed with Marcella‘s advertising and use of social media to peak buyers’ interest.  She listed our house over every advertising channel available and sent out email blasts to get realtors excited. When we decided to trim our trees to open up our ocean view, Marcella went above and beyond to ask the neighbors we had never met, for permission. She then coordinated the entire effort, and supervised the landscape crew (in Spanish, because Wonder Woman is also bilingual)! Marcella is very knowledgeable about every aspect of selling a home. Working with a large company like Berkshire Hathaway, she was able to tap into every resource when tricky questions arose about legal issues, title, property lines, etc.  With the economy being what it was at the time, all the bids contractors gave potential buyers were inflated. After a few buyers lost interest In the house due to the high price of repairs, Marcella brought in her own team of contractors, found a buyer herself, and in less than a week we were in escrow. Ever-patient, ever-positive and supportive, Marcella made sure that we had a wonderful experience selling our house. We highly recommend Marcella and have been shouting her name from every rooftop. Gave Us Excellent Guidance

We purchased our home in Laguna Beach in early 2018 in a somewhat difficult housing market for buyers (limited supply and relevant comps). We had spent several years narrowing down the area we wanted to find a home in. Along the way, we met with many real estate agents who as can be expected, ranging from amazingly incompetent to those who were very capable and would be a good choice for many buyers. None had made a connection with us until we met Marcella at an open house in 2017. We liked her immediately and felt she was a good fit for us in our search for a new home as she was knowledgeable, thorough, and engaging. During our home search, she gave us excellent guidance, unflagging availability, and deep knowledge about a really wide range of homes that we looked at. Particular high points were helping us navigate with a seller who was a foreign national with limited English skills who was out of the country the entire time we were negotiating the purchase of this home. This was not our first home purchase but it was our first home purchase from a foreign national. This made the process of homebuying more complicated but Marcella never let it become overwhelming for us in spite of our seller behaving in an erratic and sometimes difficult manner. We hope we are in our new home for a long time, but if we were to move, we wouldn’t hesitate to work with Marcella again or give her anything but the highest recommendation.

Did an Amazing Job

My wife and I are currently living in Europe, and come to California only three months per year, during January-March, each year. It is very difficult to find a furnished house to rent for such a short period. An American friend, living in Laguna Beach, put us in contact with Marcella who helped us a lot.
